This is where it all began for Never Too Late Basketball 28 years ago. An enthusiastic and energized group of players eager to learn and drill the basics, readying themselves to play the game! It's all about technique and the fundamentals: dribbling; shooting form; wrong foot (all the rage these days) layups and classic form layups; defensive positioning; offensive positioning (where and when to go where it is most helpful for your team); fast break situations; rebounding. All the little things (and big things!) you need to improve and move to the next level. It's a workout! It's an education! It's a great way to spend 90 minutes on a Sunday morning!

NTL basketball is back and spring hoops, when March Madness and the NBA Playoffs hit high gear and you move your game to a whole new level (again). A little time on the court on a Sunday morning before the weekend wanes, time to get a ball in your hands, get your conditioning back, your drill moves tuned, your shot all net. Worship the game and the fact you are out there. We'll run the floor but open the doors, take breaks but mostly feel the ball in your hands and make the game magic again.

Defense wins championships. Passing is more important than shooting, but, c'mon, what do you want to do when you look at a hoop? Shoot it! And shoot it we will. e heard you didn’t exactly perfect your shot over the winter months. So here we go again! Get your balance, get your rhythm, remember to follow through. Though mechanics are important, we don't want to be mechanical. Relaxed, loose, eliminate excessive motion. Splash! Coach Cabral will tweak your shot; keep it yours but make it better. The goal will be to get every player 250 shots before we unleash you for the scrimmage where you will take and make the shots you practiced. Eyes on the rim, watch the ball go in!

Same Coached Scrimmage as it ever was (except with a state-of-the-art ventilation system added to the gym). A coach, teammates, an offense, a defense, a game plan to execute. A desire to implement proper execution of the timing and spacing required to get the best results from our skills when running an offense. On defense we will devise a plan to thwart the other teams efforts: shade, trap, slough, hedge, invite, fake, contain, frustrate. Adjustments during time-outs and at half-time. Coached Scrimmage is real basketball. Basketball is Coached Scrimmage. It's the year's best basketball treat. NTL in NYC and NTL in Boston: NTL's most popular clinics.

Curtis Hall is the beating heart of Boston basketball. A third floor gym, with a shiny new floor and NBA type backboards. Even though it’s a touch on the short side, it’s a gym that expects your best effort. The participants in this clinic come to learn and come to play. The scrimmages are always a nice extension of the drills and everyone seeks to make, recognize, and acknowledge a good play. We always look forward to coaching the Tuesday night clinic. It’s been a great one for years. (Open to Intermediate and higher level players only!)

“Sunday morning intermediate class – each NTL class I take I pick up one or two little things that improve my game in a way I never thought about. My first NTL session I learned to shoot left handed layups which opened up 50% more of the court to me. Not long after that I learned how to come off screens and found that by watching how my defender plays me, I could get wide open every time. Another great lesson was on how wide open you usually become when you set a screen in the low post as long as you look for the ball after screening. Another class we learned about how someone could be wide open even though he had a defender close by if that defender wasn’t looking at the ball. Maybe you knew all these things, but come to the class and you’ll find out for yourself how much a good coach will improve your game. “

PFL basketball is the best basketball! A league for players who want a no-hassle, well-organized, professionally run, totally fun and competitive basketball experience. Appropriate for high novice through low advanced men and women adult players. (If you are really good or, worse yet, think you are really good, this probably is not the league for you. Though we have plenty of good players, they manage to remain humble and honor the effort and desire of others.) Come to Draft Day (Saturday, 01/28/23), show us what you got, or don't got, and we place you on a team. (But sign-up beforehand; the league always sells out.) Players can request 1 or 2 or 3 specific teammates; every effort is made to create teams of equal strength. Players receive numbered jerseys or shirts. We print full and accurate software generated NCAA-type box scores with field goals, free throws, three-pointers [made and attempted], rebs [off. and def.], assists, turnovers, blocks, steals, fouls and minutes played to distribute at game's end. Cumulative season's team and individual stats (example) are kept as well. Referee and electronic scoreboard. 6 regular season games and 2 post-season games for all eight teams. Ball movement, team play, equal playing time, and competitive but sportsmanlike spirit are emphasized.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: Any cancellation made before attending the first practice (or game) of the term (or season) can be refunded 100% (minus a $50 cancellation/refund processing fee). Cancellations that occur after the first week of practices (or games) can be refunded at 50% or a credit extended for participation in a future NTL Weekly Practce Program (or PFL season). Cancellations after the second week of practices (or games) are not refundable. (You can make up the missed practices by signing up the next NTL term and making up your missed practices by coming twice a week.)
