All shooters shoot. Some shoot better by preparing, catching, no dribble, and shooting. Others use their ball handling skills combined with athleticism to shoot off the dribble. By practicing the footwork and mechanics involved in both, you can be a threat to score in a multitude of ways. It’s about preparation and in the case of shooting off the dribble, separation. Be ready to catch and score; it’s not only physical but mental preparation as well. Every movement before you catch needs to be with the thought of the shot coming as soon as you catch. Shooting off the dribble, on the other hand (either hand!) requires new moves to add to your repertoire. Step backs, slide steps, long steps to get you away from the hapless soul trying to guard you. Coach Gurley is expert at teaching the art of shooting (and all individual skills) and will take your scoring game to the best new places!
