As much as coaches try to teach “proper” shooting form, the truth of the matter is everybody’s perfect shooting form is different. Like your fingerprint. Like your Face ID. Well, up to a point. There are certain elements of the shot that everyone needs to stay true to: balance; the ability to repeat the same stroke the same way over and over again; follow-through; limiting extraneous motion; head still. Coach Fagan will tweak your form (or tear it down and have you start fresh) and when you are not able to replicate when it “feels good”, he’ll figure out what’s going wrong and help you fix it so that it’s comfortable and you find nothing-but-net all the time. Believe in yourself. Believe in your shot. That’s half the battle.
